The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Augusto Rigoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coccinella and the Conca Del Sole FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Augusto Rigoni hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Antonello Della Francesca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Piola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conca Del Sole FC's Angelo Maietta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Conca Del Sole FC from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Camillo Restaino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domenico Piola. Coccinella's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camillo Restaino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Concetto Cardella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Bernardi struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Angelo Maietta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coccinella. 35 minutes into the match, Coccinella's goal looked a bit too open when Carter Serra came free, but Domenico Piola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio Barbato charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ennio Barbato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cosimo Urbani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domenico Piola. Coccinella's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute Antonio Ronconi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Piola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coccinella's Domenico Piola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Restaino in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Coccinella booed when Conca Del Sole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice De Cesaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camillo Restaino made a kick off. Elia Romanese kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Antonio Ronconi's late challenge caught a Coccinella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Ronconi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Conca Del Sole FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Antonio Ronconi hit a great ball. Angelo Maietta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Cardella in the 62nd minute of the match. Domenico Piola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Restaino, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Conca Del Sole FC's Camillo Restaino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 75th match minute, Conca Del Sole FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carter Serra to maneuver through the defense. Conca Del Sole FC's Angelo Maietta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Cardella in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Camillo Restaino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Piola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Concetto Cardella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coccinella fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Fausto Di Iulio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Camillo Restaino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Conca Del Sole FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
