The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Camerlengo in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Sammartino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Mikkel Følstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Augusto Camerlengo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vallerana's Christian Sammartino. Christian Sammartino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute, Augusto Camerlengo made a precise shot to the right of Christian Sammartino. Vallerana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fortunato Bergamini to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Atletico Birreal's Augusto Camerlengo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Comunardo Tocchetto's late challenge caught a Vallerana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo Tocchetto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atletico Birreal getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Comunardo Tocchetto hit a great ball. If Augusto Camerlengo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Camerlengo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Christian Sammartino made a huge save. Emilio De Felice hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Augusto Camerlengo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Sammartino came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Camerlengo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 81st minute. Fortunato Bergamini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ercole De Cesaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vallerana booed when Atletico Birreal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Restaino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Atletico Birreal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vallerana throughout the match.
