Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Velate's Alvise Di Fabio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Velate's Amos Di Bartolo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Christian Sammartino but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Alvise Di Fabio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Sammartino was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The supporters of Vallerana booed when Velate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Serafini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Fortunato Bergamini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Bergamini in the 17th minute of play forced Velate's goalkeeper Amerigo Berti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amerigo Berti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Moretti in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Velate's zone, Fortunato Bergamini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amerigo Berti came out of the goal and Fortunato Bergamini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amerigo Berti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Moretti in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Fortunato Bergamini made the kick off in the second half. Daniele Serafini struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Christian Sammartino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velate. Concetto Spione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Sammartino having to interfere. Christian Sammartino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Spione in the 60th minute of play. Fabiano Spagnuolo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Ciccio Moretti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vallerana eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
