If Dino De Santis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Fabiani struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Filippo Gabriele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lucia. Camillo Paolucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Rivera in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Lucia's Amerigo Gaspari got a free kick in the 9th minute. Carlo Losito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fedele Rivera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Paolucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes San Lucia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anthony Mazzone who took care of the corner kick. Filippo Gabriele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino De Santis in the 20th minute. Emiliano Fabiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the match, San Lucia's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando De Luca came free, but Camillo Paolucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camillo Paolucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando De Luca in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute Ferdinando De Luca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Paolucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Cusago AFC's Fedele Rivera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camillo Paolucci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, San Lucia's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Minichiello came free, but Camillo Paolucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Emiliano Fabiani put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Filippo Gabriele. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinando De Luca made a kick off. Amerigo Gaspari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Filippo Gabriele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cusago AFC's Flavio Colangelo got a free kick in the 55th minute. The supporters of San Lucia booed when Cusago AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Rivera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, San Lucia's goalkeeper Camillo Paolucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedele Rivera. When Amerigo Gaspari came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the San Lucia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Gaspari couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Emiliano Fabiani managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lucia's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Fabiani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Gabriele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68thth minute of the game Emiliano Fabiani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cusago AFC's Filippo Gabriele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camillo Paolucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Minichiello, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The corner ended in Anthony Mazzone almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Lucia's Camillo Paolucci did a great save. Filippo Gabriele came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lucia's Amerigo Gaspari. But to his dismay, Amerigo Gaspari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Filippo Gabriele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Fabiani in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea Micucci during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camillo Paolucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fedele Rivera in the 91st minute. Filippo Gabriele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Fabiani in the 92nd minute of play. Amerigo Gaspari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Filippo Gabriele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filippo Gabriele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Fabiani, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cusago AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for San Lucia.
