When Ennio Berardi came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Bianca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ennio Berardi couldn't finish the play. Enrico Tacco took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Melis. Cristiano Melis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Ennio Berardi came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Bianca fans jumped to their feet. After 24 played minutes Cogorno got a freekick which was hit by Elia Diana. Diego Alfonsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Grimaldi in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Emanuele Bevilacqua was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bianca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cogorno the free kick. With an all-out effort, Cogorno's Diego Alfonsi threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carmine Grimaldi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Cogorno booed when Bianca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Bevilacqua didn't get a good kick on the ball.
