Atletico Monteforte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Corna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Florian Savoia in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atletico Monteforte's Antonello Boninsegna. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atletico Monteforte eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
