Emiliano Di Lullo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Saturno, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Comunardo Piscopo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Emiliano Di Lullo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Festa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Iori having to interfere. Biagio Iori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Festa went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Rebbio were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Adriano Saturno made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Rebbio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Chizzo to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Di Lullo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Piscopo in the 54th minute of the match. If Angelo Festa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Virgin Lover's goalkeeper Biagio Iori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Festa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Piscopo in the 92nd minute of play forced Rebbio's goalkeeper Emiliano Di Lullo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 minutes of play Rebbio's Bruno Astolfi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bruno Astolfi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Emiliano Di Lullo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Saturno in the 95th minute of play. Cesare Guarrera hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Rebbio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Virgin Lover.
