In the 17th match minute, Cascine Mirabello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Gregori to maneuver through the defense. If Franco Scudieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Ettore Monti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Wapone's Camillo Giammaria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cascine Mirabello booed when F.C. Wapone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Ferri didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to F.C. Wapone getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Florian Di Virgilio hit a great ball. Adriano Ferri hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cascine Mirabello's Biagio Piccinini tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Scudieri during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to F.C. Wapone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Adriano to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Barberio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Franco Scudieri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuele Giampietro made a kick off. Frank Zuccarini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Giammaria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Angelo Tiburtini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Ettore Monti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascine Mirabello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Monti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Zuccarini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Monti in the 66th minute of play forced F.C. Wapone's goalkeeper Camillo Giammaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, F.C. Wapone's Emanuele Giampietro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fortunato Biondi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. F.C. Wapone's Camillo Giammaria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Zuccarini in the 70th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Cascine Mirabello got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Monti. Fabio Barberio charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Wapone's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
