Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ettore Proia started the match with the kick off. If Filippo Censi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano De Bartolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes, Antonello Sammartano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorbo FC and the Roverdicre AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonello Sammartano kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Filippo Censi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roverdicre AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Censi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano De Bartolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dario Maiorano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comunardo Iacovella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ettore Proia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Roverdicre AFC's goalkeeper Cosimo De Donatis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Comunardo Iacovella. In the 30th minute, Roverdicre AFC's Aurelio Donadoni seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aurelio Donadoni the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Roverdicre AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aurelio Donadoni had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Roverdicre AFC! 2-0 came in the 32nd minute when Francesco De Carolis all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Cosimo De Donatis. Sorbo FC's Dario Maiorano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Censi in the 36th minute of play. Dario Maiorano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippo Censi in the 42nd minute of play. Comunardo Iacovella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Cosimo De Donatis made a huge save. 48 minutes into the game, Roverdicre AFC's Filippo Censi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dario Maiorano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filippo Censi to strike the kick off in the second half. Comunardo Iacovella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cosimo De Donatis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Iacovella in the 57th minute of play forced Roverdicre AFC's goalkeeper Cosimo De Donatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippo Censi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dario Maiorano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Filippo Censi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Maiorano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Ettore Proia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cosimo De Donatis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Proia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo De Donatis having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Davide Lemme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roverdicre AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorbo FC the free kick. After 92 played minutes Roverdicre AFC got a freekick which was hit by Davide Lemme. When Filippo Censi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Roverdicre AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Censi couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
