Christian Pizziolo might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Achille Vespucci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Pizziolo ran back to his position shaking his head. Florian Mazzetti hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Demetrio Guarrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Tocci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Christian Pizziolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Vespucci was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Giorgio made a kick off. Virgiliana AFC's Achille Vespucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Virgiliana AFC from getting a goal against them. If Anselmo Giorgio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Cristiano Capasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domenico Ascoli kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Juventus FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Achille Vespucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Demetrio Guarrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Anselmo Giorgio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virgiliana AFC's Achille Vespucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Capasso in the 84th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Angelo Valcareggi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Juventus FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
