Fausto Nicolai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrizio De Marchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Emanuele Negri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ciro Burgnich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albarea's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Burgnich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beppe Furino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Torre del Moro's Beppe Furino got control of the ball when Emanuele Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Torre del Moro's goalkeeper Beppe Furino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beppe Furino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Burgnich showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Ciro Burgnich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabrizio De Marchi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Torre del Moro's Fabrizio De Marchi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Nicolai. Fausto Nicolai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Alfredo Palmieri came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Torre del Moro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Palmieri couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Palmieri struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Fausto Nicolai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torre del Moro. If Fabrizio De Marchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Beppe Furino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Torre del Moro's Ettore Bartolomucci got a free kick in the 64th minute. The supporters of Torre del Moro booed when Albarea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Pasinati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beppe Furino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Torre del Moro's zone, Ciro Burgnich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Furino came out of the goal and Ciro Burgnich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Albarea's Emanuele Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beppe Furino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torre del Moro's Beppe Furino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Burgnich in the 92nd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
