The audience thought a goal was coming when Eraldo Caccia got free with Fabiano Lattanzio in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 26 minutes, Armando Totaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee ignored Borussia Dortmund's protests and gave Armando Totaro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Multedo booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Totaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carter Piermattei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Papa, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Papa in the 39th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Carter Piermattei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borussia Dortmund's Carter Piermattei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Taraborrelli in the 43rd minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Ferruccio Sacchetti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Multedo's Fabiano Lattanzio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carter Piermattei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Taraborrelli in the 71st minute of play. Christian Papa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Taraborrelli in the 75th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Carter Piermattei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Giordano hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Ferruccio Sacchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 89th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Anelli to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Dortmund's Eraldo Caccia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Multedo. Borussia Dortmund walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
