The Locus Giani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Ciapponi should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Arturo Albertini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Ciapponi was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The penalty shot was made by Achille Ritacco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Locus Giani's Frank Ciapponi. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferruccio Russi to make the kick off. In the 62ndth minute of the game Cesare Molinaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lainate AFC's Alessandro Cinalli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Lainate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Miccio came free, but Alessandro Cinalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Cinalli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesare Molinaro in the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Arturo Albertini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lainate AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Albertini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Arturo Albertini came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lainate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Albertini couldn't finish the play. Ferruccio Russi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Ciapponi having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Arturo Albertini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lainate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Albertini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Albertini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lainate AFC's Cesare Sangermano got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
