Concetto Liberti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Pan having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lova's goalkeeper Comunardo Cera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Flavio Monti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grassina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Monti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmondo Rinaldi was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Edmondo Rinaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Lova's Comunardo Cera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Lova from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Grassina FC's zone, Ennio Guidone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francesco Pan came out of the goal and Ennio Guidone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Petrucci in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Comunardo Cera saved Lova from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Guidone in the 41st minute of play forced Grassina FC's goalkeeper Francesco Pan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ennio Guidone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Concetto Liberti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ennio Guidone to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Ennio Guidone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 65 minutes, Cosimo Labate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosimo Labate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ennio Guidone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Pan having to interfere. Ennio Guidone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lova's Concetto Liberti got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ennio Guidone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Pan having to interfere. Ennio Guidone might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francesco Pan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio Guidone ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Grassina FC booed when Lova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristoforo Festa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Liberti might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francesco Pan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Concetto Liberti ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Lova's Ennio Guidone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francesco Pan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cosimo Labate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Francesco Pan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Grassina FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lova were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
