Comunardo Baresi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino Oberrauch in the 24th minute. Aldo Cosi kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see FC Lions's Amos De Donatis in action when he in the 28th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Filippo Nazzaro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Fortunato Lombardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Nazzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bianco Antonioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Gualtieri in the 41st minute of play forced FC Lions's goalkeeper Comunardo Baresi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Lions booed when vinciprovese calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Tammaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Comunardo Baresi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Oberrauch in the 84th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Nazzaro got free with Fortunato Lombardi in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
