A wasted opportunity for San Michele. 9 minutes into the match, Tobbiana AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Salerno came free, but Amerigo Benedetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Salerno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Amerigo Benedetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermanno Zangari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristoforo Simeoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Cesaroni having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Michele's zone, Corrado Scalabrino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Cesaroni came out of the goal and Corrado Scalabrino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermanno Zangari hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, San Michele's Ermanno Zangari fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Amerigo Benedetti was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Alessio Ramundo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Michele's zone, Corrado Scalabrino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Cesaroni came out of the goal and Corrado Scalabrino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ermanno Zangari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fedele Salerno came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the San Michele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Salerno couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedele Salerno made a kick off. If Fedele Salerno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Cesaroni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corrado Scalabrino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristoforo Simeoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Anselmo Cesaroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Cristoforo Simeoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobbiana AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristoforo Simeoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Cesaroni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristoforo Simeoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Tobbiana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Corrado Scalabrino. If Ermanno Zangari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Tobbiana AFC's Amerigo Benedetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Salerno in the 86th minute of play. Cristoforo Simeoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Anselmo Cesaroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Corrado Scalabrino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tobbiana AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. San Michele's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
