In the 8th minute Comunardo Masi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Aureli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Croce in the 16th minute of play forced Marina Di Palidoro FC's goalkeeper Emilio Tosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Scrima struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Emilio Tosi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internazionale FC. Emiliano Palumbo's late challenge caught a Marina Di Palidoro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Palumbo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Internazionale FC's Emiliano Palumbo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eraldo Aureli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Comunardo Masi's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 29 minutes into the match, Internazionale FC's Fabrizio Croce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Tosi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Internazionale FC's Emilio Scrima got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Internazionale FC's Eraldo Aureli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Masi in the 39th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabrizio Croce was the one to do the kick off. Eraldo Aureli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Comunardo Masi's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Comunardo Masi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrizio Croce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Croce in the 62nd minute of play forced Marina Di Palidoro FC's goalkeeper Emilio Tosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Croce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fabrizio Croce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Marina Di Palidoro FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Corrado Maiorano hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Emilio Scrima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Emilio Tosi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Comunardo Masi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eraldo Aureli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Internazionale FC's Eraldo Aureli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Internazionale FC from getting a goal against them. Fabrizio Croce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Tosi having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Emilio Scrima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Tosi. Marina Di Palidoro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Scrima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Emilio Scrima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Tosi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Croce in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Scrima in the 92nd minute of play forced Marina Di Palidoro FC's goalkeeper Emilio Tosi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Internazionale FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
