Comunardo Masi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Trentini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Marina Di Palidoro FC got a freekick which was hit by Corrado Maiorano. If Felice Flamini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Marina Di Palidoro FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Fabiano Panza hit a great ball. Emilio Tosi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Riccardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlo Trentini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Vianello, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Frank Totaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Trentini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amos Mattioli kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Emilio Tosi made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Felice Flamini sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes in the game, Daniele Riccardi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emilio Tosi having to interfere. Emilio Tosi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Riccardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Marina Di Palidoro FC's zone, Daniele Riccardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Tosi came out of the goal and Daniele Riccardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniele Riccardi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Emilio Tosi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rolo FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Comunardo Masi was the one to do the kick off. Comunardo Masi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carlo Trentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferruccio Vianello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Trentini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. During the 82nd minute of the match Fabiano Panza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabiano Panza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Fabiano Panza hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Felice Flamini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rolo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felice Flamini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Tosi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marina Di Palidoro FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
