Francesco Boldrini helped the player get up and apologised. 10 minutes into the game, one of Tavola AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Tavola AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cristiano Crosta hit a great ball. Anselmo Aceto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Anselmo Aceto made a precise shot to the right of Ferdinando Apicella. Tavola AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Fabiano Cipolla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Cipolla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Eraldo Mosca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Frank Cangiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35thth minute of the game Aurelio Muzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avola Calcio's Eraldo Mosca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferdinando Apicella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Aceto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro De Nicola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ferdinando Apicella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinando Apicella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Aceto, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Alvaro De Nicola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Avola Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Aceto.

Eraldo Mosca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Muzi in the 51st minute of play. Fabiano Cipolla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eraldo Mosca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Avola Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Cipolla came free, but Eraldo Mosca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Avola Calcio's Alvaro De Nicola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferdinando Apicella. Ferdinando Apicella yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After 64 played minutes Tavola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Andreozzi. With a little luck, Tavola AFC's Ferdinando Apicella got control of the ball when Anselmo Aceto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tavola AFC's Emanuele Santacroce got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Fabrizio Trentini suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Emanuele Santacroce fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tavola AFC's protests and gave Emanuele Santacroce a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Avola Calcio's Dino Ranieri tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ferdinando Apicella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Aceto in the 83rd minute. Aurelio Muzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Mosca having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Tavola AFC's Aurelio Muzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eraldo Mosca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Avola Calcio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
