In the 2nd minute, Emilio Dossena fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Comunardo Cinque, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Albani in the 5th minute of play forced F.C Passerina's goalkeeper Alexander Moreschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Carmine Buffone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Comunardo Cinque was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Meianiga FC's Claudio Schirone got a free kick in the 15th minute. Carmine Buffone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Comunardo Cinque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Meianiga FC's Fedele Albani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Moreschi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Fedele Albani put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Moreschi. Comunardo Cinque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Buffone in the 39th minute of the match. Cesare Borgatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cesare Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the F.C Passerina defense, Alessio Parente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Moreschi. The F.C Passerina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Moreschi should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmine Buffone was the one to do the kick off. Ettore Liaci's late challenge caught a F.C Passerina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ettore Liaci helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Meianiga FC got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Liaci. Meianiga FC's Fedele Albani got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessio Parente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Alexander Moreschi made a huge save. Alessio Parente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Moreschi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Alessio Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Fedele Albani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meianiga FC's Comunardo Cinque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Borgatello in the 70th minute of play. Claudio Schirone hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Emilio Dossena hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. F.C Passerina's Alexander Moreschi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save F.C Passerina from getting a goal against them. The F.C Passerina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Meianiga FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Meianiga FC.
