If Anfilogino Caneva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Tabacco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Albani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Schirone kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Elia Mancinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter's supporters rose to their feet, but Elia Mancinelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comunardo Cinque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anfilogino Caneva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Comunardo Cinque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elia Mancinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Comunardo Cinque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Caneva in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, Inter's Franco Tabacco got control of the ball when Alessio Parente tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Fedele Albani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Tabacco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anfilogino Caneva made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Anfilogino Caneva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anfilogino Caneva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Comunardo Cinque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elia Mancinelli in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anfilogino Caneva in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Cinque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Inter booed when Meianiga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biagio Venditti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Inter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Frabetti to maneuver through the defense. Fedele Albani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Inter's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Parente came free, but Franco Tabacco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meianiga FC's Comunardo Cinque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Meianiga FC from getting a goal against them. After 76 minutes, Ciro Mancinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meianiga FC and the Inter players grew even worse after the yellow card.
