An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Biagetti in the 8th minute of play forced Zenone FC's goalkeeper Andrea Gaeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Costanzo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Donato Pasinati. Carlo Biagetti got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Andrea Gaeta handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Carlo Biagetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Zenone FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Biagetti came free, but Andrea Gaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Zenone FC's zone, Carlo Biagetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Gaeta came out of the goal and Carlo Biagetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Costanzo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Biagio Nelli sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 35 minutes, Carlo Biagetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manicomio Mombello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Biagetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Bruno Petruzzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Felice Piola came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Zenone FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felice Piola couldn't finish the play. If Felice Piola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the game, Manicomio Mombello AFC's Carlo Biagetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrea Gaeta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlo Biagetti made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Biagio Nelli made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Costanzo. Manicomio Mombello AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Zenone FC's zone, Bruno Petruzzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Gaeta came out of the goal and Bruno Petruzzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Bruno Petruzzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manicomio Mombello AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Carlo Biagetti hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Carlo Biagetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Bruno Petruzzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zenone FC's Andrea Gaeta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andrea Gaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Biagetti in the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Zenone FC defense, Bruno Petruzzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrea Gaeta. The Zenone FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrea Gaeta should have stopped the shot. Manicomio Mombello AFC's Bruno Petruzzi got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
