A collision led to Rottolandia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Anfilogino Balestra hit a great ball. Bernardo Festa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Fiorentino in the 21st minute of the match. Bernardo Festa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Fiorentino in the 22nd minute of play. Fausto Moretta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Nasuti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosimo Crispino was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Oriola FC booed when Rottolandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Crema didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Anfilogino Balestra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvise Stella blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Moretta having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Flavio Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Moretta was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The Rottolandia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
