Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 19 minutes of play, Cordan's Alessandro Coco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Locatelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciro Apicella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Varlungo FC defense, Ciro Apicella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Locatelli. The Varlungo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Locatelli should have stopped the shot. Ciro Apicella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Federico Locatelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alex Scudieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Davide Nanni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 53rd match minute, Cordan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Cammarota to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Nanni in the 58th minute of play forced Cordan's goalkeeper Aurelio Caniglia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Mameli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Caniglia having to interfere. Dennis Mameli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cordan's zone, Dennis Mameli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Caniglia came out of the goal and Dennis Mameli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Cavallo got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Varlungo FC's Arturo Cavallo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dennis Mameli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Caniglia having to interfere. Although Varlungo FC had been in control for most of the match, Cordan still came away with the win.
