Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Attilio Selvaggi got the match started through his kick off. Fulvio Loiacono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Vani, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Anselmo Vani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fulvio Loiacono was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Cosa Nostra FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Anselmo Vani hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Villanova's Attilio Selvaggi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Cosa Nostra FC defense, Fabio Amicone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo Mazza. The Cosa Nostra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Mazza should have stopped the shot. Attilio Selvaggi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Emanuele Casiraghi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Villanova's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Sorrentino came free, but Fulvio Loiacono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bianco Taddeo lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Attilio Selvaggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Amicone scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camillo Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Villanova's Fabio Amicone got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuele Casiraghi made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Villanova's zone, Emanuele Casiraghi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Loiacono came out of the goal and Emanuele Casiraghi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Attilio Selvaggi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Camillo Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Villanova fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Villanova's Attilio Selvaggi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Camillo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Selvaggi in the 66th minute of play. Villanova's Attilio Selvaggi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Villanova's Fulvio Loiacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Urbani in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Villanova got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Casadei. Camillo Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Attilio Selvaggi's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
