Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dave Grieco started the match with the kick off. Dario Prandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Salvadore having to interfere. Antonello Maurizi was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Donato Cattaneo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Donato Cattaneo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 11th minute, Donato Cattaneo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciccio Grimaldis short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Antonello Maurizi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristiano Negri hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Ciccio Grimaldi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sferracavallo FC's Antonello Maurizi. Antonello Maurizi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Donato Cattaneo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Cattaneo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Antonello Maurizi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciccio Grimaldi got free with Antonello Maurizi in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Damiano De Lorenzi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 32 minutes into the game, Fabiano Violento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sferracavallo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donegaglia FC the free kick. If Dario Prandini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Donegaglia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Grieco came free, but Claudio Salvadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciccio Grimaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sferracavallo FC's Antonello Maurizi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Sferracavallo FC from getting a goal against them. Donegaglia FC's Claudio Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Grieco in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciccio Grimaldi made a kick off. The supporters of Sferracavallo FC booed when Donegaglia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Cattaneo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Grieco struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Claudio Salvadore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sferracavallo FC. After 55 played minutes Donegaglia FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Mandara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Grieco in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Salvadore saved Donegaglia FC from getting behind. Fabrizio De Bonis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, Dario Prandini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Claudio Salvadore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudio Salvadore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Prandini in the 69th minute. When Alfredo Saraceni fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Donegaglia FC's protests and gave Alfredo Saraceni a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Donegaglia FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Saraceni. Donegaglia FC's Ciccio Grimaldi got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Camillo Orioli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donegaglia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sferracavallo FC the free kick. In the 77th minute of the match Fedele Perazzolo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Salvadore skillfully saved the ball. If Ciccio Grimaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Grimaldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciccio Grimaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Antonello Maurizi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Donegaglia FC's Fabrizio De Bonis got a free kick in the 90th minute. Claudio Salvadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Grieco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Donegaglia FC were the better team. Donegaglia FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
