Edoardo Carciofo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Del Greco in the 4th minute of play. Augusto Giocondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Miconi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Noci FC's Augusto Giocondo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Noci FC's Cristoforo Cannone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Miconi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Noci FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Noci FC's Augusto Giocondo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, Augusto Giocondo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Savona FC's Alfredo Miconi. Alfredo Miconi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Del Greco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Carciofo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Savona FC defense, Augusto Giocondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Miconi. The Savona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Miconi should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Savona FC's Arrigo Di Pietrantonio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Edoardo Carciofo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Del Greco in the 38th minute of the match. Enzo Giorgi hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Augusto Giocondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Savona FC's Alfredo Miconi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Cannone in the 57th minute of play. Alfredo Miconi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Cannone in the 64th minute of play. Daniele Gregori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edoardo Carciofo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniele Gregori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Concetto Losito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Cristoforo Cannone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Del Greco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Carciofo having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Noci FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Giorgi to maneuver through the defense. If Daniele Gregori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Daniele Riccardi put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Noci FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Arrigo Di Pietrantonio shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 92 minutes of play, Savona FC's Daniele Gregori made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edoardo Carciofo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arturo Del Greco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Carciofo having to interfere. The Noci FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Noci FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
