In the 13th minute Bruno Pasquino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Balboni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Corticella AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Domenici came free, but Damiano Balboni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corticella AFC's Damiano Balboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Colaneri in the 19th minute of play. Alessio Domenici hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Ferdinando Bernardini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Borgetto FC's zone, Bruno Di Blasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demetrio Talamo came out of the goal and Bruno Di Blasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Bruno Di Blasio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Demetrio Talamo. Borgetto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Di Blasio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Bruno Di Blasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Talamo having to interfere. With a little luck, Corticella AFC's Damiano Balboni got control of the ball when Alessio Domenici tried to sneak it across the goal line. Concetto Totaro in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Flavio Mariotti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corticella AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Mariotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinando Bernardini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Talamo having to interfere. Corticella AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
