Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Armin Fracassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ribera CF fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Ribera CF's Alfonso Spitaleri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 21 minutes, Alex Malatesta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nuceria and the Ribera CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, one of Nuceria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nuceria. Emilio Di Tommaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Albanesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ribera CF's goalkeeper Aurelio Macchia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Alfonso Spitaleri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Di Tommaso. Alfonso Spitaleri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 39th minute, Alfonso Spitaleri made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Di Tommaso. Nuceria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Armin Fracassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Emilio Di Tommaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Ribera CF's Alfonso Spitaleri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Di Tommaso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Eraldo Gregori left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ribera CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Spitaleri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Alfonso Spitaleri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribera CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Spitaleri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Nuceria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Santini to maneuver through the defense. If Felice Persia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Eraldo Gregori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribera CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eraldo Gregori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Di Tommaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eraldo Gregori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Emilio Di Tommaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nuceria's zone, Florian Pietropaolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Di Tommaso came out of the goal and Florian Pietropaolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Di Tommaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Persia in the 65th minute of the match. Fedele Albanesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florian Pietropaolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Emilio Di Tommaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Spitaleri in the 82nd minute of play forced Nuceria's goalkeeper Emilio Di Tommaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ribera CF's Eraldo Gregori got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Ribera CF's goalkeeper Aurelio Macchia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damiano Coccia. Eraldo Gregori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emilio Di Tommaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ribera CF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
