The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Alvaro Checchia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camillo De Bonis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alex Loiacono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Alvaro Checchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo De Bonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Martini kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dario Gallo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Federico Marchetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander De Rubeis in the 14th minute of the match. Flavio Colecchia charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavio Colecchia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Camillo De Bonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pollastrini in the 22nd minute of the match. Bianco Niccolai charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bianco Niccolai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alex Loiacono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Marchetti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Alex Loiacono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Federico Di Giambattista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Federico Marchetti came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.Internazionale's Carlos Paredes. But to his dismay, Carlos Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Carlos Paredes came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Federico Marchetti could save by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Checchia made a kick off. F.C.Internazionale's Alex Loiacono got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Garofolo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Di Giambattista came free, but Federico Marchetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Damiano Massimini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C.Internazionale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garofolo AFC the free kick. Camillo De Bonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Checchia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Garofolo AFC's zone, Alex Loiacono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Marchetti came out of the goal and Alex Loiacono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Garofolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amos Bontempi. Carlos Paredes might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Marchetti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Loiacono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Garofolo AFC's zone, Cesare Amatori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Marchetti came out of the goal and Cesare Amatori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, F.C.Internazionale's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Bontempi came free, but Camillo De Bonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermanno Negrini kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Federico Di Giambattista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Marchetti having to interfere. Garofolo AFC's Federico Marchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Paredes in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match Ermanno Negrini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Camillo De Bonis skillfully saved the ball. Federico Marchetti came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.Internazionale's Alex Loiacono. But to his dismay, Alex Loiacono quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. F.C.Internazionale's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
