Alvaro Farese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Colantoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Stagno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Andreoli came free, but Concetto Colecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Stagno FC's Carlo Iachini seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlo Iachini the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stagno FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlo Iachini had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 11 minutes into the game, one of Stagno FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alex Di Cintio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stagno FC's Concetto Colecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Andreoli in the 20th minute of play. When Ernesto Leggeri fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgetto's protests and gave Ernesto Leggeri a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Borgetto got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Leggeri. 26 minutes in the game, Alex Di Cintio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Concetto Colecchia having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Alex Di Cintio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Concetto Colecchia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Di Cintio in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Amerigo Ragazzoni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stagno FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borgetto the free kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Borgetto booed when Stagno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Giannetta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Colantoni to strike the kick off in the second half.
