With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eraldo Giordano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Borgetto booed when Porrona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Fiore didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Anfilogino Andreoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borgetto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anfilogino Andreoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Alex Di Cintio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Giordano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He walked away shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Alberigo Azzolina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borgetto's Alex Di Cintio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Borgetto defense, Alberigo Azzolina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Farese. The Borgetto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Farese should have stopped the shot. Alvaro Farese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Florio in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Florio in the 80th minute of play forced Borgetto's goalkeeper Alvaro Farese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, one of Porrona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Porrona. When the match had been going on for 99 minutes, Borgetto's Attilio Di Filippo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eraldo Giordano. The Borgetto players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
