The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Masetti got free with Armin Monticelli in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Petrini during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Venezia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Petrini. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Labate in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franco Vaiani saved Venezia AFC from getting behind. During the 34th minute of the match Alexander Petrini completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent.
