Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emanuele Di Mascio got the match started through his kick off. Emanuele Di Mascio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Biagio Fortuna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Cavallaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Fortuna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuele Di Mascio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Montecavolo got a freekick which was hit by Armando Vitucci. In the 25th match minute, Montecavolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Vitucci to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, GIUMA's Elia Maiorano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Emanuele Di Mascio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Cristoforo Ciapponi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Gismondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Alfani having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Montecavolo's zone, Donato Ceresoli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Cavallaro came out of the goal and Donato Ceresoli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GIUMA's Biagio Fortuna got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Montecavolo got a freekick which was hit by Armando Vitucci. Biagio Fortuna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Cavallaro having to interfere. Donato Ceresoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Cavallaro having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Biagio Fortuna to make the kick off. Donato Ceresoli took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciccio Cavallaro. Ciccio Cavallaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Emanuele Di Mascio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberigo Alfani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Di Mascio ran back to his position shaking his head. If Biagio Fortuna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Biagio Fortuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Cavallaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute Alexander Gismondi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Alfani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Di Mascio in the 71st minute of play forced GIUMA's goalkeeper Alberigo Alfani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emanuele Di Mascio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Di Mascio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Alfani having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Biagio Fortuna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GIUMA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Biagio Fortuna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Gismondi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberigo Alfani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, GIUMA's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Gismondi came free, but Alberigo Alfani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montecavolo's Alexander Gismondi got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alexander Gismondi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Montecavolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Gismondi couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
