When Amerigo Tocci came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Leonida football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Tocci couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amos De Tommasi to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amerigo Tocci in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Tabacchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 58 minutes, Amerigo Tocci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leonida football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Tocci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Orsini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Cordone, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Leonida football's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Cordone came free, but Alvaro Orsini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Cordone's late challenge caught a Leonida football's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Cordone helped the player get up and apologised. Eugenio Cordone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Orsini having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Leonida football's zone, Amos De Tommasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Orsini came out of the goal and Amos De Tommasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of F.C.Baggio Milano booed when Leonida football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Puja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Puja hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A hard shot 84 in the game by Elia Marongiu from a close distance when the talented Damiano Tabacchi managed to make a qualified save. F.C.Baggio Milano's players were relieved. Alvaro Orsini came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C.Baggio Milano's Amos De Tommasi. But to his dismay, Amos De Tommasi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Leonida football booed when F.C.Baggio Milano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Vanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C.Baggio Milano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leonida football had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
