Francesco Schiavo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, one of Gatteo AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gatteo AFC. The goalkeeper, Alexander Tieri, was totally fooled by FC I.S.F.'s Franco Combi, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fedele Di Biagio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bianco Palone, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gatteo AFC's Arrigo Petrucci got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Arrigo Albanesi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC I.S.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gatteo AFC the free kick. When Arrigo Petrucci fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gatteo AFC's protests and gave Arrigo Petrucci a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gatteo AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arrigo Petrucci hit a great ball. After 16 minutes, Arrigo Petrucci made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC I.S.F.'s Fedele Di Biagio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexander Tieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Ascenzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Gatteo AFC's goalkeeper Alexander Tieri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Attilio Ascenzi. 28 minutes into the match, Arrigo Petrucci notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC I.S.F.'s Fedele Di Biagio. Fedele Di Biagio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC I.S.F. booed when Gatteo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Carozza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bianco Palone got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fedele Di Biagio handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Attilio Micucci during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Attilio Micucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC I.S.F.'s Achille Di Virgilio got a free kick in the 44th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arrigo Petrucci was the one to do the kick off. Gatteo AFC's Alexander Tieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Castelli in the 75th minute of play. Bianco Palone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Di Biagio having to interfere. After 87 minutes FC I.S.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francesco Schiavo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Gatteo AFC's corner Francesco Schiavo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fedele Di Biagio quite easily take care of the ball. Bianco Palone's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Fedele Di Biagio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bianco Palone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC I.S.F.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Francesco Schiavo was slow to take the kick. During this time Gatteo AFC's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Bruno Ianni drilling the ball in to score 1-4 behind FC I.S.F.'s goalkeeper. The Gatteo AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gatteo AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
