Thanks to some nice moves Achille Di Massimo could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Fabrizio Bottone however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, Minoprio AFC's Fabrizio Bottone threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugenio Fioriti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th match minute, Minoprio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bianco Longo to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes, Cermenate's Daniele Fini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alessandro Piccoli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cermenate reached it. 17 minutes in the game, Eugenio Fioriti fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabrizio Bottone having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Fioriti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabrizio Bottone. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Eugenio Fioriti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fabrizio Bottone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eugenio Fioriti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrizio Bottone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Fioriti in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Achille Di Massimo got free with Fabrizio Bottone in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dino Tarulli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alessandro Piccoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Dino Di Matteo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Minoprio AFC's Alessandro Piccoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 49th minute Eugenio Fioriti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Bottone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Di Matteo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Dino Tarulli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alessandro Piccoli. That made the score 1-2 in the 53 minute of play. Eugenio Fioriti might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrizio Bottone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Fioriti ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Minoprio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Di Matteo came free, but Alessandro Piccoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Fioriti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Bottone having to interfere. Eugenio Fioriti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Fausto Ferraresi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dino Di Matteo in the 86th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alessandro Piccoli kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Dino Tarulli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Piccoli having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Achille Di Massimo notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Cermenate's Fabrizio Bottone. Fabrizio Bottone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cermenate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
