Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabio Pazienza started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Termo Della Spezia's zone, Cristiano Di Febo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ettore Genovesi came out of the goal and Cristiano Di Febo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beppe Avesani charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beppe Avesani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruno Leoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Strazzabosco having to interfere. If Cristiano Di Febo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Pazienza in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damiano Strazzabosco saved Artimino from getting behind. Ettore Genovesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Di Febo in the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Artimino's zone, Bruno Leoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Strazzabosco came out of the goal and Bruno Leoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd match minute, Artimino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Meo to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Termo Della Spezia's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Di Maria came free, but Ettore Genovesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Pazienza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Damiano Strazzabosco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Ercole Meo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Leoni got free with Damiano Strazzabosco in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Artimino were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Di Maria to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Leoni struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Damiano Strazzabosco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Termo Della Spezia. If Fabio Pazienza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Termo Della Spezia booed when Artimino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Strano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damiano Strazzabosco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Pazienza, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Diego Quattrocchi's late challenge caught a Termo Della Spezia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Quattrocchi helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Artimino got a freekick which was hit by Diego Quattrocchi. 74 minutes into the game, Ercole Meo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Artimino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Termo Della Spezia the free kick. Ercole Meo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Termo Della Spezia's Felice Taccone broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Donato Bocchi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damiano Strazzabosco. Artimino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Fabio Pazienza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damiano Strazzabosco. Artimino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Pazienza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ettore Genovesi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emilio Giancola. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Di Maria in the 87th minute of play forced Termo Della Spezia's goalkeeper Ettore Genovesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ettore Genovesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Di Maria in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
