Damiano De Nicola came out of the goal and Edoardo Iezzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, F.C.Colli Albani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Musacchio to maneuver through the defense. F.C.Colli Albani's Damiano De Nicola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Presutti in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C.Colli Albani's goalkeeper Damiano De Nicola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Mezzanino booed when F.C.Colli Albani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Musacchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Mezzanino's Dino Presutti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damiano De Nicola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, F.C.Colli Albani's Andrea Di Lillo got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute, Edoardo Iezzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mezzanino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Damiano De Nicola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edoardo Iezzi went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Fausto Aversano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Aquilino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Stefano kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Edoardo Iezzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damiano De Nicola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After having played for 56 minutes, Dino Presutti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mezzanino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Presutti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Edoardo Iezzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Aquilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dino Presutti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Edoardo Iezzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Dino Presutti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damiano De Nicola. F.C.Colli Albani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Presutti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Damiano De Nicola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Presutti in the 95th minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Ernesto Serafini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mezzanino and the F.C.Colli Albani players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mezzanino getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ernesto Serafini hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mezzanino eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
