But to his dismay, Diego Bani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Michelino's Bruno Pollastrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Salvadore in the 13th minute of play. Bruno Pollastrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Salvadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Diego Bani notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Michelino's Bruno Pollastrini. Bruno Pollastrini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Barneyteam getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. In the 40th minute, Arrigo Trombetta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fedele Dominici showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anfilogino Gagliano made a kick off. Bruno Pollastrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Porro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Michelino's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Bani came free, but Bruno Pollastrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michelino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barneyteam the free kick. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Michelino! In the 82nd minute of the match Ciro Anelli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fedele Dominici skillfully saved the ball. In the 96th minute Diego Bani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Pollastrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
