The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amos Fioriti charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amos Fioriti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Zadina Pineta got a freekick which was hit by Amos Fioriti. When Balsignano's Ciccio Ascoli in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zadina Pineta's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute Ciccio Ascoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Causio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Ciccio Ascoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ercole Donadoni fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balsignano's protests and gave Ercole Donadoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Zadina Pineta's Fedele Pietrini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Antonello Taddeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Davide Causio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Zadina Pineta's Edoardo Ciolli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Attilio Colelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonello Taddeo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Zadina Pineta's Davide Causio got control of the ball when Ciccio Ascoli tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Alex Trombatore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balsignano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Trombatore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Balsignano's Davide Causio threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adriano Imperiale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Edoardo Ciolli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edoardo Ciolli, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Attilio Colelli was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Balsignano's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Ciolli came free, but Attilio Colelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davide Causio made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ciccio Ascoli sent off a good shot on target. Edoardo Ciolli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciccio Ascoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Davide Causio made a huge save. When Amos Fioriti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. 86 minutes into the match, Zadina Pineta's goalkeeper Davide Causio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciccio Ascoli. Antonello Taddeo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ciccio Ascoli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Davide Causio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dario Basile's late challenge caught a Balsignano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Basile helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciccio Ascoli got free with Davide Causio in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zadina Pineta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
