After 10 played minutes FC Union Berlinguer got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Pasquale. Fedele Giammarino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Zola, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Federico Zola might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fedele Giammarino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Zola ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Federico Zola managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Union Berlinguer's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Zola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fedele Giammarino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Melchiorre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedele Giammarino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Pallavicino's Fedele Giammarino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Melchiorre in the 24th minute of play. FC Union Berlinguer's Lorenzo Minotti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Union Berlinguer from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Dino Melchiorre notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pallavicino's Fedele Giammarino. Fedele Giammarino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pallavicino's Fedele Giammarino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Melchiorre in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Pallavicino's Fulvio Mazzone ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Minotti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Zola in the 47th minute of play forced Pallavicino's goalkeeper Fedele Giammarino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Federico Zola made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Alexander Cabrini made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Minotti. Federico Zola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fedele Giammarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of FC Union Berlinguer's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Union Berlinguer may have spent more time on the ball, but Pallavicino were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
