In the 17th minute, Ernesto Sammartino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Colombo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Ponte Galeria FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Armando Cilli hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Alex Trotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Panico in the 39th minute of play forced Tebano's goalkeeper Filippo Mazzola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tebano's zone, Davide Di Febo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Mazzola came out of the goal and Davide Di Febo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tebano's goalkeeper Filippo Mazzola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Attilio Panico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ponte Galeria FC booed when Tebano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Trivelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Sammartino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute Ernesto Sammartino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Colombo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bianco Di Gaetano's late challenge caught a Tebano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bianco Di Gaetano helped the player get up and apologised. Bianco Di Gaetano hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match.
