Corrado Borgatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Amerigo Cerrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Amerigo Cerrone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dario Di Giambattista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Rosati in the 26th minute of the match. Ferruccio Albani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Amerigo Cerrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Di Giambattista came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sampierdalena FC's Arturo Venditti. But to his dismay, Arturo Venditti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Corrado Borgatello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Amerigo Cerrone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corrado Borgatello in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amerigo Cerrone saved Sampierdalena FC from getting behind. In the 59th match minute, Sampierdalena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Bisegna to maneuver through the defense. Dario Rosati hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Sampierdalena FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Catucci. When MOR's Corrado Borgatello in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sampierdalena FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Dino Moscatelli fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MOR's protests and gave Dino Moscatelli a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MOR's Dino Moscatelli got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Dario Rosati came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sampierdalena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Rosati couldn't finish the play. Arturo Venditti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Dario Di Giambattista made a huge save. In the 74th minute, Sampierdalena FC's Aurelio Proietti seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aurelio Proietti the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sampierdalena FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aurelio Proietti had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sampierdalena FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave MOR a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ferruccio Albani, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sampierdalena FC's Amerigo Cerrone. 1-2. In the 80th minute Corrado Borgatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Cerrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amerigo Cerrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Colagrossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sampierdalena FC's goalkeeper Amerigo Cerrone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, MOR's Corrado Borgatello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amerigo Cerrone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 94 minutes into the match, Sampierdalena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Albani came free, but Amerigo Cerrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sampierdalena FC's Amerigo Cerrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Marchetti in the 95th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sampierdalena FC's Dario Rosati got a free kick in the 97th minute.
