The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrico Munno during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Concetto Campoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Tellini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Armin Altobelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fortunato Tellini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Tellini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th match minute, Posatora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Petrosino to maneuver through the defense. Daniele Rulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Fanano booed when Posatora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Vinciguerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes in the game Carmine Morandin after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Armin Altobelli. A very good opportunity. Armin Altobelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Concetto Campoli went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fortunato Tellini to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes Posatora got a freekick which was hit by Enzo De Felice. Armin Altobelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Tellini, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Rulli in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Facchetti saved Fanano from getting behind. In the 71stth minute of the game Concetto Campoli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Posatora's Armin Altobelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Tellini in the 73rd minute of play forced Posatora's goalkeeper Armin Altobelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armin Altobelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Tellini, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Tellini in the 79th minute of play forced Posatora's goalkeeper Armin Altobelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
