Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fortunato Tellini started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Edoardo Stefano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Facchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Dennis Di Girolamo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fanano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porto San Paolo the free kick. Eraldo Facchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Stefano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edoardo Stefano struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Eraldo Facchetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porto San Paolo. Edoardo Stefano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eraldo Facchetti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Fanano's Fortunato Tellini in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Porto San Paolo's goalie prevented a goal. When Porto San Paolo's Edoardo Stefano in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fanano's goalie prevented a goal. If Cristoforo Helfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porto San Paolo's Cristoforo Helfer got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Fanano's Eraldo Facchetti got control of the ball when Alvaro Ingegno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edoardo Stefano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Eraldo Facchetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edoardo Stefano made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Fanano's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Ingegno came free, but Eraldo Facchetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fanano defense, Alvaro Ingegno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eraldo Facchetti. The Fanano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eraldo Facchetti should have stopped the shot. Concetto Campoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Corrado Imperatore fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porto San Paolo's protests and gave Corrado Imperatore a yellow card for diving instead. Dennis Di Girolamo got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Fanano getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dennis Di Girolamo hit a great ball. Eraldo Facchetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Ingegno in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fanano's zone, Alvaro Ingegno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eraldo Facchetti came out of the goal and Alvaro Ingegno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Porto San Paolo's Edoardo Stefano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eraldo Facchetti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alvaro Ingegno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edoardo Stefano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Facchetti having to interfere. Porto San Paolo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
