After a defensive mix-up in Montesilvano City's zone, Carter Fioriti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Helfer came out of the goal and Carter Fioriti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Montesilvano City's goal looked a bit too open when Carter Fioriti came free, but Fedele Helfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Zisser in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frank Moscatelli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberigo Uguccioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Helfer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Zisser got free with Frank Moscatelli in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carter Fioriti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fedele Helfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Moscatelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Zisser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Arioli might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Moscatelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dino Arioli ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Carter Fioriti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Helfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montesilvano City's zone, Damiano Giansante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fedele Helfer came out of the goal and Damiano Giansante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Dino Profeta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frank Moscatelli. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberigo Uguccioni to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Fausto Zisser put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Frank Moscatelli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Zisser in the 64th minute of play forced SSC NAPOLI's goalkeeper Frank Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Moscatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Zisser, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Alberigo Uguccioni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Helfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Zisser in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Moscatelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Enzo Conte in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Montesilvano City's Dino Arioli. Alberigo Uguccioni struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Fedele Helfer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSC NAPOLI. In the 86th minute, Fausto Zisser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciccio Rinaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Frank Moscatelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carter Fioriti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Helfer having to interfere. Frank Moscatelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Montesilvano City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
