The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Concetto Imperiale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Achille De Lorenzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Amos Briganti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice Ciolli having to interfere. If Concetto Imperiale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille De Lorenzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Troilo in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes of play, San Michele Extra FC's Bernardo Troilo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Achille De Lorenzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the game, Alexander Cicchinelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Felice Ciolli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute of the match, Concetto Imperiale tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Achille De Lorenzi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Senna Comasco AFC booed when San Michele Extra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Troilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arrigo Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bernardo Troilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille De Lorenzi having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Cicchinelli in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felice Ciolli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amos Briganti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Felice Ciolli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexander Cicchinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille De Lorenzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Imperiale in the 45th minute of play. Achille De Lorenzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Troilo's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in San Michele Extra FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Attilio Toppi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 57 minutes into the match, Senna Comasco AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Troilo came free, but Achille De Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Concetto Imperiale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Di Nucci in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achille De Lorenzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amos Briganti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes San Michele Extra FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Carta. After a defensive mix-up in San Michele Extra FC's zone, Amos Briganti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Ciolli came out of the goal and Amos Briganti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alberto Bernardi fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Michele Extra FC's protests and gave Alberto Bernardi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Alberto Bernardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amos Briganti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. San Michele Extra FC had won after a very even match.
