Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Angelo Liaci started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dave Di Maio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Mantini having to interfere. Angelo Liaci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Mantini having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvise Facchini in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Antico saved F.C.Gladiator from getting behind. In the 14th match minute, F.C.Gladiator was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Checchia to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Dave Di Maio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C.Gladiator fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dave Di Maio might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Mantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Di Maio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dave Di Maio came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the F.C.Gladiator fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Di Maio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of F.C.Gladiator booed when Alfonsine FC 1921 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Maccarone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Facchini to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, F.C.Gladiator's Dave Di Maio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Mantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Liaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Mantini having to interfere. Arturo Mantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Liaci in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alfonsine FC 1921's zone, Dave Di Maio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Mantini came out of the goal and Dave Di Maio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Alvise Facchini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Antico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvise Facchini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fabio Antico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Antico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Facchini in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Alfonsine FC 1921 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Mori to maneuver through the defense. Elia Brillante, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ciro Caroli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Antico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. F.C.Gladiator had won after a very even match.
