Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fausto Lio was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Amerigo Cinalli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amerigo Cinalli really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Aurelio Coscarella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romitorio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiolo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Romitorio's Aurelio Coscarella got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes, Stiolo's Franco Biagetti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciccio Caroselli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stiolo reached it. Emanuele Marconi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciccio Caroselli having to make a save. Stiolo's Fausto Lio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Stiolo from getting a goal against them. Ciccio Caroselli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Russi in the 17th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Stiolo got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Tundo. Carmine Canzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fausto Lio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmine Canzanos short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Fausto Lio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 34 minutes into the game, Stiolo's Dave Russi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciccio Caroselli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Emanuele Marconi scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciccio Caroselli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Romitorio's Amerigo Cinalli in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stiolo's goalie prevented a goal. Fausto Lio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Canzano in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Stiolo defense, Carmine Canzano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fausto Lio. The Stiolo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fausto Lio should have stopped the shot. Fausto Lio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Canzano in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Amerigo Cinalli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Lio. Stiolo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amerigo Cinalli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Claudio Cusumano hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Dave Russi might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciccio Caroselli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Russi ran back to his position shaking his head. Aurelio Coscarella got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 75 played minutes Romitorio got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Coscarella. In the 75th match minute Franco Biagetti ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Ciccio Caroselli. 4-3. With a little luck, Romitorio's Ciccio Caroselli got control of the ball when Emanuele Marconi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romitorio's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dave Russi 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-4. Emanuele Marconi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ciccio Caroselli made a huge save. Ciccio Caroselli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Tundo in the 100th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
